Sexual abuse and its effects – area of tension between being a taboo and supporting the persons affected.

Disabled persons are the ideal victims of sexual abuse. According to studies, between 50 and 60 % of the people with disabilities have been abused in their lives, at least once or several times. The impact of these traumatising experiences is felt in all areas of life. By a vast variety of behaviour those persons challenge those living next to them to face that problem, to deal with it personally and to look for possibilities of support.

Objectives and contents:

• Aspects of the psycho-sexual development of persons with a cognitive disability, being preconditioned for becoming a victim or a perpetrator.
• Traumatising sexual experiences: Indications (signs) and survival mechanisms of the persons concerned
• Assistance and support of those persons in the pedagogical everyday surrounding

The topic is equally dealt with from a medical/therapeutic and a pedagogical point of view. Based on case studies of the participants the theoretical insights are illustrated and realistic possibilities for support worked out.

Energetic Healing for Disabled Persons

Persons who are born with mental and/or physical disabilities, are often exposed to highly difficult conditions for development. Therefore they are often blocked in unfolding properly their individual talents and qualities.  In this workshop will be demonstrated how such blockages arise and where to start with the energetic healing work in order to dissolve the blockages. The lecturer, Dr. Katrin Paulenova is an established practitioner and can look back on many years of experience in energetic healing and in assisting persons with disabilities (www.heilen-augsburg.de). The workshop is meant to address  the family members, assistants and care takers of disabled persons, and also persons interested in exercising health care occupations.

Formation and Dissolution of Blockages in the Energy Field of a Person

All experiences leave traces in our body, mind and soul. Often our thoughts and our actions, and also our health are influenced by old patterns based on old experiences – without being conscious of that. In the workshop it will be explained how such blockages develop and where to start with energetic healing in order to stimulate the blocked life energy to flow again. Unfavourable living conditions in early childhood and traumatic or shocking experiences are addressed especially.
The lecturer, Dr. Katrin Paulenova is an established practitioner and can look back on many years of experience in assisting people who suffer from the effects of traumatic conditions they had to bear with in their youth. She postulates a holistic approach to healing.

Development and Healing of Psychological Disorders seen from the Point of View of an Energetic Healer.

In this workshop the first step consists in giving an overview of common psychological disorders. Then the lecturer explains the correlation between the orthodox medical explanatory approaches and therapies and the point of view of an energetic healing of so-called psychological disorders.

To become Aware of our Energy Field and How to Heal It

Our body is permeated and also surrounded by a fine-matter energy field.  By this energy field we are connected with the Great All-That-Is. All and everything we have experienced leaves its traces also in this fine-matter field – all injuries and violations on all levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual ones.
On those afternoons we shall practise the sensing, the recognizing and the energetic healing or our fine-matter body. In doing this, we combine information with self-experience.
The object is to give guidance to restoring the energetic balance, and thereby at the same time health and inner equilibrium.
